| Sermons for Sunday TODAY AM--“Increasing Opportunities to Share the Gospel” (Mark 16:15-16) PM--“Pure and Undefiled Religion”(James 1:26-27) NEXT WEEK AM--“Continuing to Grow” (Ephesians 4:14-15) PM--“The Sin of Partiality” (James 2:1-13) Wednesday Summer Series Last week our speaker was Gov Clemens from the Candlelight congregation. Governor brought an interesting lesson from John 9 as he dispelled some misunderstood facts. This week we will hear from Paul Jones from Wharton. The last week of the series, August 26th, we will hear from Leland Rodgers from Angleton. Sunny Glen The truck from the Sunny Glen’s Children’s Home will be here in September. They are asking for Diapers - All Sizes, Baby Wipes, Food Storage Bags - All Types and Sizes. Let’s start collecting now so we will have a nice load for them to pick up. Also don’t forget ‘Campbell’s Soup labels’ and ‘Box Tops for Education’. Ladies Bible Class The ladies are finishing a book on prayer that they have been studying for about a year and a half. They will be starting a new study on Tuesday August 25th. Sharon Foster will be teaching the “Journey Through the Old Testament Through the Eyes of a Child”. All of the ladies who attend are excited about this new class. They meet on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. and all ladies are invited to join them. |
